RIDDOR and Accident Reporting
RIDDOR and Accident Reporting
RIDDOR stands for the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations. It is a key piece of UK health and safety legislation that requires employers, and those in control of work premises, to report certain serious workplace incidents to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The purpose of RIDDOR is not simply administrative. It plays a vital role in helping regulatory bodies identify trends, target enforcement activity, and improve workplace safety across industries.
