Resilience
Resilience
In modern UK workplaces, resilience has become a critical competency for both employees and organisations. It is no longer viewed as an optional soft skill but as a core capability that supports wellbeing, productivity, and long-term organisational sustainability.
Resilience is defined as the ability of an individual to adapt positively in the face of stress, pressure, change, or adversity. It does not mean avoiding stress entirely. Instead, it refers to how effectively a person responds to and recovers from challenging situations. . It involves fostering emotional well-being, maintaining motivation, and using coping mechanisms to handle change and setbacks. Developing this skill improves performance, collaboration, and employee well-being.
