SCORM is a collection of standards and specifications for web-based e-learning for leaning management systems. It is a specification of the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative, which comes out of the Office of the United States Secretary of Defence.
SCORM is a acronym for Sharable Content Object Reference Model. What it does is it defines how to create “sharable content objects” or “SCOs” that can be reused in different systems.
All of our courses are SCORM 2004 (3rd edition) compliant, which allows you to import the course directly into your own learning envionment whether a bespoke soluction or 'off the shelf' products such as Moodle.
Because SCORM creates a sharable object it can easily be integrated to different systems. Since its development it has lowered the cost of integration by setting out a list of stands that are used by learning management systems to deliver your content. As most learning systems now offer this all you need to do it import the course without needing the funds of develop your own system to run your training.
